Welcome to SofisticatedUK. I'm Sophie, the artist and maker behind every card, print and commission that leaves this studio. My work is rooted in a lifelong fascination with the natural world — the quiet patience of a heron at dawn, the bold geometry of a barn owl in flight, the unexpected beauty of a fox glimpsed through winter trees.

The Inspiration

Britain's wildlife has always felt like an inexhaustible gift. I grew up walking its hedgerows and coastlines, determined to find beauty in every creature and plant. That conviction hasn't left me. Every piece I create begins with a picture or photo, and with genuine wonder at the creatures that share our landscape.

The Process

Each design starts as a hand-rendered illustration, layered and refined until the character of the subject comes through. I work with a small number of trusted print specialists to translate those originals into greetings cards and fine art prints on premium materials — papers chosen for their texture, weight, and ability to hold colour faithfully over time. Nothing is mass-produced; every order is treated with care.

My greetings cards are printed on 350gsm cardstock, wrapped without unnecessary plastic, and sent in recyclable packaging — because caring about wildlife means caring about the world it lives in.

Original Commissions

There is something singular about a piece of art made for you alone. If you have a beloved animal companion, a favourite wild species, or a landscape that holds meaning for you, I would love to discuss a personalised commission. Each commission is approached with the same attention to detail as my main collection — we talk through your vision, I sketch initial concepts, and the final piece is yours to keep or gift. I can even gift wrap it and send it direct!

A Note on Quality

SofisticatedUK exists because I believe a greetings card can be more than an afterthought. It can be a small piece of art — something worth keeping on a mantelpiece long after the occasion has passed. Every decision I make, from the choice of illustration style to the weight of the envelope, is made with that intention in mind.
